Following the success of their debut collaborative EP Rototops, Sam Battle, AKA LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER and Hainbach return with their latest EP Pipe Dreams. Recorded in Hainbach’s Berlin studio, Pipe Dreams continues their unique experimentation, inviting listeners to experience their musical alchemy.

Of the recording process of the EP, Hainbach muses:

"I was a bit worried about what would happen if Sam came over to Berlin. Rotopops appeared by accident in a mad few days with no planning. Now we had a plan to record a follow up. Could we capture another moment like that? Would we be chasing something that could only happen in that particular moment in time? I set up my studio in the cellar as best as I could and hoped for the best. And I was not disappointed: Pipe Dreams came out better than I could have hoped for.”

Echoing these thoughts, Battle says:

“The first EP just sort of came together. We never even planned to make an ep we were just making random sounds for a video, but we found ourselves making songs. It was a pleasant surprise. I was a little nervous that we could replicate this situation again. So I went to Hainbach’s studio where he had made a setup in his basement, with the drum machine, a reel to reel recorder and a bunch of other bits and bobs, and we just jammed like the last EP we made was only done yesterday. Safe to say it was a very enjoyable few days and we got some songs we liked out of it :D.”


With this creative partnership, Battle and Hainbach continue to create one-of-a-kind music, delighting longstanding and new fans alike.
